Instrument Concepts is a design engineering company, helping users of sensor-based measuring systems. We serve our customers from offices in Nova Scotia, Canada and Houston, Texas. Users of are based mainly in North America and Europe. Our instruments are used in nearly every ocean in the world.

Instrument Concepts was founded in 1998 by Mark Wood, to develop an innovative, flexible and personal approach to solving sensing needs. We aimto meet clients' unique measurement goals and build in flexibility to meet current and future needs.

Our services cover the full scope of today's sensor-based measurement environment, integrating different technologies, to create solutions that respond to clients’ measurement challenges.
