Our Services

Instrument Concepts backs up all products with the service expected by users in the international marine industry.

Our offshore technicians and engineers are fully qualified and offshore safety certified.

  • Installation of Marine Instruments

The icListen family of products are easy to install. For those who feel more comfortable using a system checked out by the manufacturer, we will be happy to install and test the system in your environment. Contact us or your vendor for a commissioning estimate.
  • Product Training

On-site training is available to users of our products. Although these products are easy to use and install, training ensures that users get the maximum benefit from their investment. Annual training is also available for upgrading and for new users.

Instrument Concepts will be happy to train on your premises or at our factory. Contact us to learn the best way to get your users up to speed.

  • Product Service

Our products are warranted for 90 days from delivery or commissioning. Accidents happen. If your product needs service, it will be repaired quickly at our factory. If you suspect it's something in the system, a technician can make site calls.

Annual instrument maintenance ensures your instruments are in top condition and ready for deployment, including any required upgrades. Contact us about maintenance plans.

  • System Integration

Not sure about the best connectors to use? Having trouble making all your instruments work together?  Our experienced designers have been designing and integrating diverse marine instruments for two decades. Whether it's a special cable, software that bridges a compatibility gap or special mounting needs, our engineers will come up with an affordable solution. Ask us about system integration with our products.

  • Sensor development

Need to measure something with a sensor that does not exist? Take the risk out of designing a new sensor. Take advantage of our design team's sensor development experience to develop your sensor quickly.

Instrument Concepts provides you with complete custom PC-based software and embedded firmware development.

Analog and digital circuit signal conditioning designs are simulated and designed as needed. Full prototype capability is available. See our Design Services page for more detail on these services.

Completed designs are fully documented and tested. Full support is provided to you after project completion.

"Instrument Concepts solved some serious mathematical issues we had with
a new  sensor being developed, then supplied the calibration software.
We can now calibrate and QC our sensors in-house, lowering our product cost"
                                                            J.Burcham, Oyo Geospace
  • Create a software simulation of a physical process

How do you stress test your system without breaking it? You simulate it.

Using simulated data, or stored field data, you can reduce development costs significantly by simulating the application before building it. Simulators are one of the tools we use to reduce design risks, and improve the quality of the final product, often in less time. We can develop for you both data-based and state-based simulators, using our visual C language software tools.

  • Project management

We don’t just design. Our experience in getting projects done can help you control your schedule and budget. We can supply the project leadership needed to ensure your sensor-based application is a success; including procurement, bills of material (BOM'S), production ramp-up etc.

  • We give seminars and presentations on a range of sensing topics.

Now you can tap into our sensing experience to get the insight you need to help with strategic decisions. Topic areas include

  • Sensor-based measurement

  • Sensor physics

  • Hydrophone array design

  • Magnetometer and accelerometer measurements

  • Hydrodynamics of towed bodies
